SDC Deliver IT for Construct IT with 40 new Freespan
West Midlands based Construct IT has taken delivery of 40 new SDC Freespan Curtainsiders for their specialist haulage operations. The investment aims to broaden its transport offering for construction material manufacturers across the UK.

The new Freespan Curtainsiders have enabled us to match the growth of our business and to reflect the diverse requirements of our customers in the construction sector. They complement our crane offload vehicles and increase our offering to our construction customers for delivering bagged aggregates, bricks, blocks and cement etc, where mechanical offload isn’t required.”
The new Freespan trailers feature SDC’s low friction easy-roll curtain rail technology with a clear side aperture for safe and efficient loading/unloading. A detailed specification was determined by David and Construct IT’s operations director, Amarat Gill, in line with the firm’s requirements to transport industrial, manufacturing and construction materials.
Other features on the new SDC built trailers include BPW Eco-Plus axles, Haldex generation 3 braking, flush steel doors, ISO regulation electrics, rear protection buffers and an easy-access coupling box. The new assets complement the firm's existing fleet of platform and curtainsider trailers, with Construct IT’s catchy neon and black branding which was awarded ‘Livery of the Year’ Motor Transport Awards 2021.
