SDC Trailers Proudly Supports Transaid’s Bicycle Ambulance Service in Rural Zambia

The SDC team is proud to continue our support for Transaid’s bicycle ambulance initiative, which has recently been deployed in rural Zambia. Implemented by Emergency Transport Riders (ETRs), this custom transport solution provides a vital lifeline - safely transferring pregnant women and children with severe malaria to healthcare facilities when every second counts.

Transaid, an international development charity, works to transform lives through safe, available, and sustainable transport. Founded by Save the Children, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and its Patron HRH The Princess Royal, Transaid partners with communities, organisations, and governments across sub-Saharan Africa to address critical transport challenges. Their work includes professional driver training and improving access to essential healthcare services.
