SDC has developed a splitter skeletal, or multi-functional skeletal trailer, with the purpose of allowing the user more flexibility when delivering and picking up loads.
When carrying the 2x20ft container, the trailer can be split. This means the operator can drop the rear chassis off with a 20ft container on board, and continue his journey with the front section of the chassis, on a single axle.
This saves the operator money and time, but also gives his end customer more flexibility.

SDC’s skeletal trailer can be configured for specific container combinations, minimizing the unladen weight. Can be configured for: 20h, 30', 40', 45', 13.6m intermodal swap body or 2x20' containers.

Galvanized pull out coupling / crashbar
To enable the trailer to legally carry a 45ft container, it is fitted with a galvanized pull out crashbar. For ease of operator use, a pull out galvanized coupling is also supplied.
Air operated locking pins
With SDC's safety first approach, the trailer park brake must be applied to operate locking pins, to ensure operator safety.
