Tipping Skeletal
SDC's tipping sliding skeletal designs are renowned as the best in the industry. There are four different design configurations. The first features a sliding design used for tipping 20ft containers. The second design also features a sliding design, used for tipping both 20ft and 30ft containers. The third is a rigid option for 30ft use only. Finally the fourth has been extended to include a 40ft container option.
Benefits of SDC's tipping skeletal:
- Premium components throughout for long trailer life
- Low maintenance and repair costs
- High residual value
Key Features

Power supply options
The trailer can be specified with a HYVA tipping ram, powered from the PTO on the truck, or can be specified with an on board power pack, electric or diesel, depending on the operators requirements for maximum flexibility.

Maximum durability
Stainless steel wear pads are fitted to the chassis to void the locking pin scoring the chassis and therefore alleviates rusting. On the swivelling bolsters, heavy duty protection buffers are used.

Air operated locking pins
With SDC's safety-first approach, the trailer park brake must be applied to operate locking pins, to ensure operator safety. (Not available with 40ft)

Premium safety features
In addition to the air interlocks, the trailers are also fitted as standard with a warning lamp when the tipper is being raised.

Various tipping specifications
Can be designed for 20, 20 and 30, 40 ft tipping options. SDC tipping skeletal trailer is fitted as standard with a warning lamp when the tipper is being raised.
Twist Locks
SDC's tipping skeletal trailer is normally fitted with screw type twist locks to ensure load security when tipping.
