Urban Boxvan
SDC’s has a huge range of short boxvan trailers, classed as Urban. The Urban boxvans are generally 1 or 2 axle, and can come equipped with a rear steering axle. This makes them the ideal solution for delivering product into urban environments and tight rural locations. Urban trailers are normally fitted with a tail-lift for ease of off-loading onsite. The urban trailer gives the operator greater degree of flexibility.

Tail-lift rear end options
Under slung tail lifts are available to be fitted to this trailer. The benefit of these tail lifts are uninterrupted rear end loading / unloading from docks and excellent unloading in a multi-stop store delivery situation.
Self-steer or command steer rear axle
Command steering rear axle reduces tyre scrub, this in turn reduces tyre wear and fuel consumption. It also offers increased manoeuvrability which is a major benefit to the operator when delivering to urban areas.
Stainless steel coupling box
For safety and ease of driver operation and professional durable finish. Sliding and ground access sliding coupling options available.
Load restraint options available
End user can customize load restraint for their particular operation.
EN XL rated bodywork
Certified to carry 29 tonnes payload. Side wall retains 40% of the load, front wall retains 50% of the load and rear wall retains 30% of the load. Ensures longevity of the trailer and load security when transporting goods.
Rear closure options
Depending on your loading requirements, SDC can offer hinged doors, roller shutter door or alternatively a tail-lift which will form the rear enclosure.
